Embraer’s Asia Tour Continues As E195-E2 TechLion Touches Down In Mumbai

Embraer is currently showcasing its E195-E2 jet in the “TechLion” livery across several key markets in Asia. After successful outings in China and Japan, the aircraft was recently spotted landing in Mumbai, where Embraer will hope to present a strong case to airlines about the viability of its jets in India.

Embraer’s E195-E2 TechLion is busy touring Asia these days. It made a successful appearance at the 14th Airshow China in Zhuhai, with the timing coinciding with China certifying Embraer’s smaller E190-E2 aircraft.
After spending close to a week in Zhuhai, it made a brief stop in Guangzhou before departing for Seoul, South Korea, where it spent a few more days. This was followed by a trip to Japan, where Embraer executives presented the plane as a viable option to cover the country’s regional market.
Following a three-day stint in Japan, the TechLion flew to Vietnam, landing in Hanoi on November 16th before finally heading over to Mumbai in western India on November 20th.
Eyeing the Indian market
Embraer hasn’t enjoyed a presence in India as much as Airbus and Boeing have. Airlines such as Paramount Airways and Air Costa did operate Embraer jets, but both shut shop eventually. But with India remaining on track to be the fastest-growing aviation market, Embraer sees a massive opportunity for its new E2 family of aircraft here.
