Businessman Howard Raymond is the son of Soho sex tycoon Paul Raymond, who in 1992 became the richest man in Britain, with an estimated fortune of more than £1.5bn.
Howard grew up in Wimbledon, south London, with a pet cheetah, and when his parents divorced in 1974, his mother Jean received £250,000, the biggest divorce settlement at that time.
Paul Raymond, who made his money from property and pornography, died in 2008 at the age of 82. The bulk of his money went to Fawn and India Rose James, his granddaughters by his daughter Debbie, who died of a drug overdose.
In 2011, Howard received an inheritance that catapulted him onto The Sunday Times Rich List, which valued him at £78m. He’s since appeared on Channel 4’s Million Pound Mega Yachts, where he was filmed at the Monaco Yacht Show, browsing for a bigger boat.
Steve Coogan played the role of Howard’s father in the film The Look of Love, which Howard hasn’t watched, because: “It’s a load of crap.”
Now 63, Howard is making his own film about his dad’s life: “It’s coming into fruition as we speak.”

It’s a shit bank but it used to be quite good. I have an MBNA credit card. It’s only for emergencies, but if you don’t have credit it’s a problem, so there’s always £100 or so on…
